This integrated CPD course provides attendees with an overview of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and their application in global positioning. The programme includes a mixture of lectures, field and computer practicals, and group discussion.

- GPS overview, modes of positioning, error sources
- How GPS positioning works, Urban environment positioning, coordinate systems, datums and transformations
- Advanced error sources, Network RTK theory and practice, future developments in GNSS
- Processing strategies, antenna models, orbit and clock products, atmospheric modelling
- Multipath, ocean tide loading, long baselines, network design
