What a way to celebrate International Women’s Day this year! Our very own Secretary General, Rachel Tyrrell has been nominated and included in the inaugural Women in Trade Associations Powerlist.
The Powerlist has been announced today (8 March) to coincide with International Women’s Day. It is a collaboration between the Federation of Small Business (FSB), Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the Trade Association Forum to celebrate and recognise inspirational women within associations.
The top 100 powerlist was compiled by representatives from the organising body from over 200 public nominations.
Nick Hampson, TSA President explains: “I am delighted to have nominated our Secretary General, Rachel Tyrrell. I felt that it was important for her to be recognised within the Powerlist. With over 200 members, TSA is a growing trade association fully committed to working with its members to help them build better businesses. We are looking to raise the profile of our members so that companies naturally select a TSA member for their surveying requirements, and we are working towards ensuring that every young person knows about land surveying as a career. Without Rachel’s ongoing commitment, our aims would be much harder to achieve.”
Commented Rachel Tyrrell, TSA Secretary General: “I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been selected to feature in the Powerlist. I am so proud of the work that the secretariat undertake on behalf of TSA, and this recognition shows that it is appreciated. TSA plays an important role in championing the surveying profession and I love that I can make a real difference to our members.”
Successful nominees will be invited to a reception later in the year. However, please check out the full Powerlist at https://www.taforum.org/wita-powerlist-2023/.
