As The Survey Association grows, so does the need for a first-class staff team. The Survey Association is therefore thrilled to welcome Katie Holt as its new Business Development Manager.
Katie is a BEng (Hons) qualified professional and has spent nearly eight years with the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), as Development Officer initially, before progressing to Development Manager. She also spent three years at CICES previously as Training and Education Officer.
Katie is well known to many in the geospatial surveying profession, having worked closely with The Survey Association for many years on a variety of things and of course through the Survey Liaison Group (SLG) – THE voice for the UK survey profession. Katie has also been involved with the creation of the Geospatial apprenticeships and is experienced in pursuing development and educational solutions.
Speaking of her new role, Katie says: “I am delighted to be joining The Survey Association. I am looking forward to the new challenge and to continuing to work on skills, education and development within surveying and construction.”
Rachel Tyrrell, Secretary General at The Survey Association, adds: “We are thrilled to welcome Katie to The Survey Association’s team. Her skills and expertise will add a new dimension to our work and we are looking forward to utilising her ideas.
“We are dedicated to working towards achieving the goals set by the Council on our three vision statements, which includes ‘every young person should know about land surveying as a career’, ‘TSA will help you build a better business’ and ‘companies with a survey requirement will prefer to use a TSA member’.
“Katie couldn’t have joined us at a better time as we look forward to an exciting year ahead in 2024 to support these goals, with many great events planned for our members.”
