The long and short of it – Short Courses at The Survey School

One of the leading providers of training in surveying in the UK, The Survey School runs a series of short technical courses, aimed at helping to fill in any gaps in knowledge required for the job.

For the course

Held at The Survey School in Worcester, these short courses usually range from 2 – 5 days in duration, covering areas such as AutoCAD for surveying, Levelling – Surveying and Setting Out, GNSS. Several of these available courses are detailed below:

On the map

The Utility Mapping Course, run in association with Sygma Solutions Ltd, provides utility surveyor training over five days, covering both the principles of utility detection and hands-on practical training. Attendees can also take the Level 3 certificate in Utility Mapping and Surveying (QCF) alongside this. Spaces are available from 3 June 2024.

Back to reality

The Reality Capture – Revit fundamentals course relates to reality capture and measured survey modelling. It ranges from project setup to generating 2D & 3D output from reality capture or measured survey data, over two days.

This course will also offer post-course telephone technical support per attendee, with up to five hours for TSA members and two hours for non-members. Spaces are available from 11 March 2024, 10 June 2024 and 9 September 2024.

Get set

The Advanced Setting Out 5-day course is designed for engineering graduates and personnel already working in the construction industry. It provides the principles, calculations and experience required in the practical application of more complex site setting-out conditions. Spaces are available for 23 September and 16 December 2024.
