Role

Castle Surveys Ltd is looking for an experienced candidate to join our progressive data capture team using the latest 3D laser scanner, drones, and conventional survey equipment. We are looking for an experienced surveyor who will progress to a management role and run our team.

Key Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
  • 5 years’ 3D site laser scanning experience
  • Experience in establishing site control, monitoring, and topographic survey
  • Experience with point cloud registration using Leica Core or Leica360
  • Experience with data processing preferably n4ce
  • Strong work plan development, coaching, and progress oversight skills
  • Mobile mapping experience would be advantageous as we have recently invested in the Leica TRK system

Responsibilities

  • Undertake site measurements and data capture
  • Control scan registration and office processing
  • Manage a team and train individuals
  • Take care of equipment and develop our site capabilities
  • Work collaboratively with in-house and client teams
  • Take on a management role
  • Build and develop Castle Surveys Ltd survey project teams to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Lead projects from initial client contact and estimations through to deployment, organizing schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
  • Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to client specifications, project requirements, and department profitability
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, providing day-to-day contact on project status to a level that they have come to expect from us
  • Generate new business and build on client relationships
  • Cascade company targets and subsequent departmental performance to survey teams
  • Contribute to survey framework applications and be comfortable delivering Continuous Professional Development sessions to clients and survey project stakeholders
  • Adept at performance management to get the best out of team members

Salary

Commensurate with experience

The Person

You will have:

  • Knowledge of the geospatial survey profession and varied survey processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work amongst and communicate with all project stakeholders
  • Happy to present team performance at management meetings
  • Understand company financial reports
  • Proficient in MS Office and SharePoint
  • Holds a full UK driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years project management experience
  • Technical knowledge of survey equipment and processes
  • Member of CICES/RICS – Not Essential
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with changing business needs through growth
