Our Geomatics department is driven by the belief that high quality data has the power to transform our understanding of the world, get people excited about heritage and enable people to do their jobs better. We offer a wide range of GIS, photographic and survey services, including metric survey, 3D modelling, recording and analysis, of buildings, landscapes, monuments and artefacts. We utilise combinations of GNSS, TST, UAVs, photogrammetry and laser scanning to achieve a high quality product that meets the customer’s needs. Our services are suitable for any industry, but our deep understanding of heritage means that our work can be tailored to the specialist needs of the heritage sector.
Our Geoservices team also provide a wide range of geoarchaeological, environmental, and terrestrial and marine geophysics services.

Wessex Archaeology is a Registered Archaeological Organisation with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) and is a charitable company which puts sustainability and community engagement at its heart. All survey and related work is undertaken in compliance to CIfA and Historic England survey standards and guidelines where appropriate.
